urban(think) was created for people who are intrigued by unique or unusual homes and living spaces. Find more of what you wish you could have in a house or a condo.

Excited about Toronto and architecture? Currently, we are undergoing unprecedented development in the buildings that house our arts and history. The new designs by Gehry for the AGO, Libeskind for the ROM and Sony Centre, Alsop for the OCAD, the new opera house, various U of T buildings and the redevelopment of the former Gooderham and Worts Distillery complex are all helping us establish our presence on the world architectural and cultural stage.That same passion and creativity can be infused into residences.

The homes and loft buildings that stand apart from the crowd can include architect-designed homes, architecturally influenced renovations, “true” (or “hard”) lofts, soft lofts, and period homes. This interest increases with state-of-the-art homes and multi-unit buildings whose owners aim to be sustainable in an environmental context.

In reality, Toronto Real Estate has a small percentage of homes that stand apart. Because of this, we seek out places that may have certain qualities. Smart, light-filled layouts, solid long-lasting construction, proximity to neighbourhood amenities, state-of-the-art upgrades (think sustainable) and overall feel are just a few of the qualities considered.

In a broader context, the real estate industry is populated by agents who work part-time. A very small percentage of realtors do most of the business. As full-time realtors, we work with people who know what they’re looking for, but who don't know how to find it. We can match clients to professionals who can design, renovate or rebuild a home. We will continue to gather and share information on urban architecture - especially in ‘minority design’ - and provide the relevant real estate expertise. To further serve those who share our interest, this site will provide links and information about smart architecture and design.
